Ministers of Communion

IMG_2424_2An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (formerly called a Eucharistic Minister) assists the ordained ministers with the distribution of the Eucharist at mass. In addition, EM’s are often asked to bring Holy Communion regularly to shut-ins and those confined to hospitals and nursing homes.

In the Diocese of Cleveland, the call to ministry as an Extraordinary Minister comes by way of a personal invitation from the pastor.
